I just separated and moved out of the home. I am wanting every other weekend w/ my 3 kids. I was planning on moving in with my brother who has a 2 bedroom house with pull out in den. Is there a certain amount of space that is required for visitation? Do all kids need their own bedroom etc for it to be approved. Spouse says no way will the kids stay there b/c there aren’t enough bedrooms but I can’t afford to get a “real” permanent place until I get the money settled from the divorce.
There is no rule in North Carolina about how many bedrooms you need per child, or even that the children have specified bedrooms. As long as your living environment is safe and them being with you is not contrary to their best interests, there should be no legal impediment to the children visiting you there.
