I just wanted to update a couple of items I found in the Do-It-Yourself section. I took my paperwork to court last week (04/08). I found that the cost is no longer $135, but $144. Fortunately I some extra cash. Also, there is a CashPoints in the lobby of the courthouse.

Additionally, to file you take your paperwork to the 11th floor now, no longer the 1st. Found that out after waiting in line . You CAN purchase the Do-It-Yourself Kit on the first floor, room 118 or 119. It is now $4.50, not $3.50 (my understanding is that the exact same forms are available here on line, and you have to re-type the forms in the kit).

Hmmm. Seems like there was one more thing. I believe the directions fo rthe Summons said you needed 3 yellow copies, and 2 was more than enough. They returned one to me for my records. Also, you DO need 3 copies of the Judgement at the time of filing. I thought that wasn’t needed until the court date.

All in all, it was a very easy process and I appreciate all of the help given here. Good luck to anyone trying it!
