No, I am not trying to avoid it, I am actually being sued for AA and Criminal Conversation. Well, I say sued because they have yet to serve me in this case. She went and filed it and I fond out through his attorney that they had filed one. I went and retained a lawyer, he norified them and I still have not received it. My attorney has quit asking. They filed in Nov. 2007, he attempted to send me a certified something, I am assuming the suit, I did not sign for it and got a lawyer immediately. Have not heard anything since. Now I find out that I may have to give a depo in his divorce case.
My fear comes from adding more issues to my case that is apparently still pending. I am unemployed (was laid off last Dec) and this is getting to be very expensive for me and I do not know what to do. He did give his depo and stated that we were no longer seeing each other and that I that he was not truthful with the fact that he was married and he also testiufied to the state of his marriage.
Unfortunately there is no way you can avoid a deposition if they are able to subpoena you to appear.

Well, I am back, I have now found out that it is possible for me to br supenoed in his divorce proceedings. I am very reluctant to go this route since I am being possibly being sued for AA and Criminal Conversation??? How do I avoid this disaster and I am just so tired now of all of the stress.
