My wife was in an accident. Her truck was totaled. We now only have one vehicle that I drive. She does not have access to it. Can I remove her from my insurance policy? She isn’t driving anything? Plus, I don’t want to be liable for her vehicle if she gets another one.
I am not sure about car insurance but I know that many health insurance plans will not allow you to drop her until you can prove you are divorced, or that she has her own coverage, however you are not legally bound to maintain her coverage. I would recommend you speak to your car insurance agent.
