long story short- I have been married for 13 yrs now. Early in our marriage i had spoken to my husband about not being happy about him never being home (since his job took him away for the majority of the time). He wouldn’t change anything or do anything to try to help keep our marriage together. I left our home and we were separated for about 1 1/2 yrs. During that time I did have a BF but that ended and my husband and I got back together and have been together again now for 7 years. I am the dependent spouse. I never had a relationship w/anyone other than the 1 and that was after I had left the home.
My question is am I eligible for alimony/post-separation support?
Likely yes, if your spouse knows of the relationship the last 7 years he spent with you would most likely be seen as his having forgiven the affair.
