All done but the filing

We have a separation agreement, have waited a year. I copied all the forms from your website. I’ll be moving to Florida before a court date would be set. If everything is in order and in agreement (so far a friendly divorce), do I, as the plaintiff, need to appear in court at all? Can’t I just take all the paperwork down there and get a summary judgement that will be mailed to both of us. House sold, closing in 1 1/2 weeks and immediately going to Florida to find a house. Hate to have to FLY back up just to sit in court when there are no disputes in the separation agreement. How can I avoid this?
Thanks,
Brenda Deere

It depends on the rules in your county. Many counties require the movant to appear at the summary judgment hearing.
