What has he done or you to even consider alimony. Is he cheating, Is he abusing you or are you just feeling someone-else

Yes, why do you feel you deserve alimony?

The purpose of alimony is to equalize the income differential between spouses. If you make less money than him, you are generally considered a dependent spouse. Alimony is determined based on each of your respective expenses and the lifestyle you lived while you were married. Fault is not required for a party to be eligible for alimony.

I am 55 and my spouse is 46. I can’t live with the man any longer. I am on total disability and receive only $852.00 a month. He on the other hand nets $5000 a month. All I want is $1000 a month. What are the requirements to be able to qualify for allimony?

Thanks to anyone who can tell me!
