Yes, why do you feel you deserve alimony?

The purpose of alimony is to equalize the income differential between spouses. If you make less money than him, you are generally considered a dependent spouse. Alimony is determined based on each of your respective expenses and the lifestyle you lived while you were married. Fault is not required for a party to be eligible for alimony.

I am 55 and my spouse is 46. I can’t live with the man any longer. I am on total disability and receive only $852.00 a month. He on the other hand nets $5000 a month. All I want is $1000 a month. What are the requirements to be able to qualify for allimony?
