I am trying to get an annulment and need to see what to do legally. I am married to someone that is already married to someone else. I have called vital records in both counties and they told me that my marriage was automatically voided but I need to know what else to do. I’m not sure if i have to have paperwork to show it’s been voided or if it is just annulled on it’s own.
A bigamous marriage is void as a matter of law, but it is good to go through the annulment process to get an order anyway.
