My husband (well now ex) is coming up to the last court appearance for assault on a female (me). I never reported any violations of his deferred prosecution and will likely not. I already find it sad that things can be dismissed BUT can they really be expunged instantly as well? That seems a bit unfair that this can immediately be wiped from his record. Like in most situations similar to this, it wasnt the first time, just the first time i finally reported it on the spot.
There are specific laws regarding what can and cannot be expunged from a criminal record. You will need to check with an attorney that practices criminal defense for more information.
