The response posted above is based upon the limited factual information made available and is not intended as a full and complete response to the question. The only reliable manner to obtain complete and adequate legal advice is to consult with an attorney, fully explain your situation, and allow the attorney sufficient opportunity to research the applicable law and facts required to render an accurate opinion. The basic information provided above is intended as a public service but a full discussion with an attorney should be undertaken before taking any action.

Dear gatorjohn:

Greetings. I would suspect that it would cost approximately $1,000 - $3,000 for a child support modification, but we do not do these hearings (unless there are some very tricky issues of law - such as imputing income or deviating from the guidelines), so I cannot be sure. Your best option is to take the time to call an attorney and ask. Best of luck.

What is the general costs of an Attorney to appear on my behalf in court at the hearing? Papers are all prepared and are currently waiting for court date. I am asking this because I reside out-of-state.

Thanks,
