Can I sell a house I bought before marriage without my spouse signature?

I want to grant power of attorney to someone else to sell a house I bought when I was single (and before I meet my current spouse). In NC, do I need my spouse signature to grant this power even though I obtained this property before marriage (I got married in a different state)?

No, you can sell the house as long as the house is your separate property and there is no marital property component. There would be a marital property component if your spouse’s income helped make improvements to the property, helped pay down the mortgage, etc.
