Can it be stopped

You should get a letter from one of the attorneys telling you that the divorce is final. You don’t even have to go to court.

Dear gladsheisgone:

Greetings. Every now and then I really laugh at the ingenius names that some of you come up with - this is one that has me laughing! Thanks for that.

Now, on to your question - first, is this a complaint only for divorce? Next, you will get a Notice of Hearing in the mail for the date of the divorce. You can check the file in the county where the divorce was filed to see if she has set it for hearing or if she has obtained the divorce.

Yes, she could stop the ball rolling by not doing anything else. You can have an attorney ensure that the divorce is granted within the next 15 days, if one is not already completed. Thank you.

ON January 14, 2006, I got my certified/registerd letter stating that my spouse had filed the complaint etc. I did nothing and just waited the 30 days to go by. I did sign the letter and gave it back to. What will happen next, will the divorce just become final at the end of the 30 days past and a court date is set ? What my concern is that since my ex filed this complaint and i did nothing is that she will stop it someone, just to be mean. Is there anyway that can be done by her and is there an easy way for me to check on the status of the complaint/divorce. We have been seperated for a few years and there is no way I am going back. I have meant someone that is great and want to move forward with my life. I am just scared that the ex could somehow stop the ball got rolling in January and now I will need to get it going again. The distribution and payments and custody are not issues, all that is wanted is the divorce. Freedom has it price and that is what it is. Please let me know so if needed I can get his taken care of.
