My ex and I agreed on Child support amount which below the NC guide lines due to money she still owes me from separation distribution. Then lately I found out that she is receiving aid from the government (food stamps) and filed for Medicaid for the children as a secondary insurance and my work insurance as primary. What I need to know if the government can come after me for not paying the state guide line for child support. And what I should do. Any info truly appreciated.
No, the government will not come after you unless you are in violation of a current child support order.
