If I have custody of my daughter for one month, during the summer, does that affect my obligation to pay child support to my ex-spouse, who normally has sole custody?
There is no court order in effect.

If there is no order in place, it is difficult to answer your question because I have no knowledge of how you determined the amount you would pay. The child support guidelines contemplate payment of child support every month of a year. When using the child support calculator, the court will average incomes over the year, take the total number of overnights into consideration, and average day care costs to come up with an obligation. As such, even if the majority of your overnights occur in one month, they are accounted for throughout the year.
