Child support is being recalculated, as well as contemp orders are being filed because I haven’t received payment in 6 months.
My question is this, I have been out of work on FMLA due to a surgery. I have now exceeded the 13 weeks and will not be released to drive for at least 6 more weeks(due to complications) and my employer let me know yesterday that they would be looking for someone to fill my position. I am currently receiving STD benefits and will for 4 more weeks. Now when calculating the new child support what numbers will I have to use as my income. I had a wonderful job making a little over $50,000. We go next week to have a court date appointed.
Thank you!
When recalculating child support you use both parent’s current income and circumstances to determine each parent’s now-current gross income.
