During mediation i asked what specific items child support was intended to cover…i was trying to determine if it should cover helping to pay for extra cirricular activities such as tennis lessons or scouts etc. Also my attorney initially seemed receptive to our asking for adjustment to support if i made payments to targeted things like school lunch plan and college education. But when i brought this up during mediation i was told we shouldnt ask. How do i know what extra things i need to help pay for when asked vs what the support payment should be covering
There is no obligation for support outside of what is specifically stated in the order aside from providing necessities while the children are in your custody.
