Child Support

#1

Dear D:

Greetings. You use the portion of the medical insurance premium that you pay for the children only.

For example, if you pay for you, your wife, and your two children the total of $400.00 for medical insurance premiums, then you would put in $200.00 as the amount of medical insurance premium you pay for the children.

The math here is that the total is $400.00 divided by 4 people, multiplied by 2 children. Thank you.

Sorry. I realized that you wanted to know how the calculator works - the calculator will actually aportion out the correct amount to each parent…and it is not normally half. So you put in exactly what you spend. Thank you.

In determining the amount of health insurance to enter into the child support calculator do I put in half the amount or do I put in the whole amount and the calculator adjusts it and divides it in half accordingly? Thank You. D
