Child Support

Step-parents income is not normally figured into the child support calculator, unless they have taken complete finacial responsibility for you and the children.
I wouldn’t force the issue of insurance. Your ex SHOULD carry insurance on his children but as long as they are covered by insurance does it really matter who carries it? Anyway, below is the law on this:

I have been divorced for over a year and have recently gotten engaged. My question is once I marry does my new spouses income come into play with child support or, does it still remain only my income and my ex’s income? Also, my new husband will carry insurance on all of us, so can the courts force my ex to carry insurance as well? He does not carry any insurance now on the children.
