What proof (testimony?) is needed to prove Condonation?
I think that the courts show a spouse has condoned an affair by resuming marital relations…by having sex after knowledge of the affair.
I think it’s tricky to define condonation this way because some couples attempt to get past an affair, but find that they are not able to. I believe the general assumption is that the affair is forgiven or condoned if the marital relations resume…
Condonation is forgiveness, in the sense that a spouse agrees to reconcile the marriage in light of fault. Testimony regarding the circumstances of the attempted reconciliation can be useful to prove condonation.
