Covering a spouse for health insurance

If a couple own a business together and have private health insurance and they decide to separate, what is the man’s responsiblity
as far as continuing to cover the woman on the health insurance policy?

Trying to decide if I need to seek my own policy prior to my leaving my husband or if he is obligated to cover me until I can find something on my own AFTER I leave.

He can cover you up to the point when you are divorced. Many plans will not allow him to drop you until he can prove you are divorced, or that you have your own coverage, however he is not legally bound to maintain your coverage.
