Custody

You are correct that the court will try to maintain the status quo for your children, however that generally refers to the care arrangements that existed prior to the time that you separated. If one of you was the primary caregiver before the separation, that will likely continue after the separation. Overall, the judge will try to set up a schedule that is in the best interests of your children.

I have had my kids for the past 8mo every night. They go to dad e/o weekend but come home and x has them 1 day a week not overnight. I have heard that once a pattern is set, chances are it will change. Mediation needless to say did not work, now we are scheduled to go before a judge. Has gotten into legal trouble that is why I have kids overnights. Long explaination. Is this true about the pattern or what can I expect?
