Dating after separation

You should refrain from dating even during your separation, since you have not divorced. Additionally, evidence of such a relationship with someone outside of the marriage, even during the separation period, can be used as corroborating evidence in a case for alimony or post separation support based on martial misconduct.

I hope that helps!

This is another post that mentions dating during separation.

If I can prove it with PI, any chance to escape alimony?

Dear JohnDoe:

Same as my last post … the conduct must be very close to the date of separation (I would argue no more than 30 days from the date of separation). Being able to prove that your wife is having sex two months after the date of separation is probably not enough. If you can prove they are living together, no alimony.
