Dividing pension

When a judge orders me to pay a portion of my pension to ex, does it count as alimony? What can I do if ex’s attorney never presented judgment to be signed?

Unless specifically stated by the judge, a payout of a pension does not count as alimony. Paying a portion of a pension to a spouse is a payment for equitable distribution in order to equitably divide the marital assets.

Verify that the attorney was supposed to draft the order and if so, contact that attorney about the status of the order and when you can expect to receive it to review.
