Divorce or separation

My understanding is that if you do not have perm resident visa and you divorce you will be required to leave the country.

thanks for the reply. But if i have perm residency whow will i have a place to stay knowingly I don’t work cause i have kids to take care of?

Greetings. Yes, my advice is that you speak with an immigration attorney about your immigration status. I know many people that have filed for permanent citizenship or resident status and have obtained a divorce without the divorce affecting their application and filing. Thank you.
