My boyfriend had his equitable distribution hearing and was given his house back. His ex has to sign a quit claim deed and vacate the premise by July 5. He just found out from his old neighbor that his ex has given them the shed that’s in the bak yard. Is this even legal? The shed has a concrete floor, it’s not one of those sheds that you just buy at home depot and install. She also had the carport that was attached to the shed tore down. His lawyer was not very clear on if this was ok for her to do. Just trying to find out some information and find out what to do next. Any information would help!

If the shed was marital property then she could probably give it away, but she’d likely be liable to him for waste.
