My ex is getting his extra week of summer visitation today. I just found out he plans on sending our 5 year yo daughter to his mothers house 5 1/2 hours away for the week. My daughter isn’t going to like this. She hardly knows her as she didn’t make an effort to be a part of her life while he and I were together. Can he do this? Isn’t visitation for him not his mother?
While visitation awarded to parent is intended for that parent to spend time with the child, the father can send the daughter to his mother’s house unless the custody order or custody terms in a separation agreement state that he cannot and/or provide a first right of refusal option.
