File for seperation

I don’t think you have to file for separation. Just leave him!

Just leaving him may leave you open to abandonment if their are assets and children involved. Seek council if assets and children are ivolved.

Phil

Dear darlene1:

Greetings. What you apparently need is either a divorce from bed and board (which is the legal version of a court ordered separation) or to work out a separation agreement with your spouse. Thank you.

The response posted above is based upon the limited factual information made available and is not intended as a full and complete response to the question. The only reliable manner to obtain complete and adequate legal advice is to consult with an attorney, fully explain your situation, and allow the attorney sufficient opportunity to research the applicable law and facts required to render an accurate opinion. The basic information provided above is intended as a public service but a full discussion with an attorney should be undertaken before taking any action.

That Janet Fritts is a smart one. What on earth would we do without this forum for her to answer our questions?

And we appreciate you being so willing to answer our questions. I plan on going to law school to become a lawyer in NC as well.

Dear republicanvoter58:

My suggestion - go to medical school! Good luck.

Go to church first. get a soul before becoming a lawyer.

Ouch. I sure hope that was not aimed at me!

Lawyers do not need souls. Lawyers have the heart, the passion, and the reason needed to do their job. Your comments make it very clear, FATHERDORIGHT, that you have no faith, trust, or confidence in lawyers. Nevermind lawyers made this country work in the founding days and a lawyer will be the one you call when you get in trouble. Hopefully I’ll be a lucky lawyer and never have to deal with a client like you.

JanetFritts, you do a wonderful job answering our questions. I would love to see you working a case in court one day.

Take care.

Let me rephrase my first statement- lawyers have souls. they do not need to get one, because they already have the soul needed to do a good job.

Please, start trusting a lawyer. Geeze.

the ones that don’t have souls know it, Janet Doesn’t fall into that category. Just look at her dedication to our repeated questions.

I,m tired of my husband using drugs and would like to file for a seperation.
