Thank you for this forum.

My question is does my spouse need to be at the divorce hearing when I get my date? She has already signed the acceptance of service form and I’ll be meeting with her next week to get the separation agreement signed with her and the alimony and child support papers signed. She is not a timely person and I wanted to check to see if she has to be present for the hearing in order for me to get my final divorce.

Also, is the hearing when I get my certificate of divorce or does that come in the mail from the court?

Your ex need not appear at the hearing, and you will be given a copy of the divorce decree in the courtroom.
