I consulted with a local attorney and told her some information. She says that my STBX would most likely be found to have performed “marital misconduct”. For what he did, I definitely want a divorce. I have a lot of medical problems and am covered under my STBX’s health insurance from his work. Can it be ordered that he continue to cover me under his insurance? HE is the one that is precipitating this divorce and I will be in major financial difficulty if I no longer have insurance. I saw under the “sample separation agreement” a clause about being covered under COBRA. However, COBRA is so costly that I would not be able to afford it.
