Help determining how much to pay

Hi,

I am trying to get a divorce from my wife. If possible I want to finish the process without going through a lawyer’s contest.

I paid all the bills during our marriage while my wife stayed home. So i am guessing I will have to pay her some amount of money. If I wanted to find out how much this would come out to be if I went to court - is there some sort of service to help give an estimate. would a mediator work if i go initially without my wife.

There is no way other than actually going to court, to determine what alimony a judge would award. A dependant spouse is entitled to alimony dependant on his or her need, and the ability of the supporting spouse to pay. There are many other factors which are considered with respect to duration and amount.
