Since my estranged husband filed for the divorce and I answered the summons and also sent in equitable distribution affidavit I have NOT heard anything from him or his lawyer so how long can the wait go on?? and what should I do next I am doing this pro se.

It depends on what exactly you are trying to do. If you are trying to schedule Equitable Distribution, you should see if your county has any local rules/forms that you need to follow at www.nccourts.org.
Otherwise, some counties have a Family Court that you may contact to schedule matters. If not, you’ll have to speak directly to the clerk to see what procedures are appropriate in your county.
