Immigration

I would recommend that you speak with an immigration attorney in your area to insure that your rights are protected regarding your immigration status.

With regard to custody issues, you could also review our website’s section on chid custody and the Hague convention as well as the State Department’s website.

My husband left me 2 wks ago, he is from england, we were married 09/04/00. He recieved his greencard 8-10 months ago. I called immigration and they say that since i signed the affidavit of support i have to support him regardless of divorce until he dies or leaves the country.

We also have a daughter who has duel citizenship. He has recently gotten very angry that I would not allow him to pick her up after school. I told him I did not feel comfortable with that. I am afraid that he will take her away. Although he has never stated verbally that he would do that.

Please advise on places i could get more information on these immigration issues. I don’t want to be held finaciallyaccountable for his actions while apart. He was the one who left me…

thanks
