Is Disability Pay included in Child Support?

#1

Under the NC Child Support Guidelines, gross income includes “income from any source,…including but not limited to income from salaries, wages, commissions, bonuses, dividends, severence pay, pensions, interest, trust income…[and yes], disability pay and insurance beneifts…” Note there are some exclusions to gross income, such as all benefits received from means-tested public assistance programs.

I am currently on long-term disability but am back to work partially (30 hours per week). I am subject to taxes on the disability pay. Is this disability pay included or can it be excluded in calculating child support?
