That statute pertains to child custody. I’m assuming she filed something to do with custody, but beyond that I cannot say without more information. If you received something about mediation, that is likely regarding court-ordered mediation that all custody cases require in NC before they can proceed to trial.
Just to give you a brief rundown. We have been on a 5-2-2-5 schedule for the past year. I have currently gotten married and was going to move an hour away. In which I didn’t want my daughter to have travel so much. To make a long story short, my wife and I decided to live in the same town as my daughter. Now the exwife is trying to reduce my time with my daughter for no good reason.
Were you served with papers that she is seeking custody? It sounds like she has filed for custody and a mediation orientation has been scheduled. Did you receive an orientation date?
