My husband’s ex just served him with a motion to change venue from Mecklenburg county to iredell county. theis child support and custody case has been going on for two years with the same judge in mecklenburg co. and we are just waiting on the perm. custody and CS hearing which sould be in the next couple months. The ex does not have a laywer but we do in meck. co. The hearing to change venue is the middle of may, what are the chances of the case being moved counties? ALl of us live in iredell now but have had this case and all of its ruling in Mecklenburg for 2 years. Is there any chance is will be ruled to remain the same?
The rules of civil procedure will allow the change of venue. At this point, since all parties live in Iredell County venue in Mecklenburg is improper.
