My husband and I were married 10 months ago. We never ended up living together so would that qualify for a legal separation? I would think that if you never lived together in the first place that it would technically be over a year separated. However i know that in NC that you have to be separated for a year, so would that only qualify once we have been married for a year?
Your date of separation will be the date you decided not to live together as husband and wife, if that was the wedding day then you will be eligible to file for divorce on the 1 year anniversary of your wedding.
