New driver/car insurance

I am the primary physical parent and my child visits other parent every other weekend, however we have 50/50-who would have to cover the child once they get their permit/drivers license? If the primary parent has to put the child on their car insurance since the child lives most of the time at their house, can this be added in child support calculations? This could become a costly expensive for a new driver on car insurance. Is that child allowed to drive the other persons car? Thank you!

Car insurance for a minor child can be negotiated if there is ever a modification or child support, however, it is not considered a necessity for child support purposes and therefore, is not considered in the child support obligation or division of expenses unless the parents specifically agree.

Generally whoever purchases the car for a minor child or whoever allows the child to drive their vehicle as a licensed driver will be the parent to provide the car insurance.
