No overnights a law?

I have been separated for almost a year and because of finances I now am living with and splitting the rent with my boyfriend. There is the good ole’ “no overnight guests of the opposite sex” clause in my separation agreement which leaves me running back to mom’s house at bedtime on my nights with my son. (She won’t let me live there full time) I spoke to my attorney about changing this in my agreement, but the paralegal told me that this is NC law and not a clause. I can’t find anything anywhere to support this so please tell me if this is true.

Thank you so much…

Not having overnight guests around the children is not NC law, and if your ex agrees, this provision can be removed.
