Of course she can–and you can call the sherriff to let you in. I think she might have some self-confidence issues that you guys can talk about; why not try to bring her with you? Is it worth a huge fight to prove a point? I would recommend counseling for at least her, if you can get her to do it.
My wife & I have been married for 35 yrs & for the most part it’s been “Happy”. No major fights or arguments, an ideal marriage I guess you could say. We recently moved here (NC) from Arizona. I wanted to move back to New Jersey where we grew up. She sited the cost of living, taxes etc. as a reason not to go back. I grudgingly agreed. I like it here but I miss home. I recently said something about going to visit my friends in NJ without her. She said when I got back the locks would all be changed. Can she do this legally? I don’t want to end up with a divorce on my hands at this point.
