Non custodial parent visitation issue

a few of my friends and I have the same issue:

a court order is in place for our ex’s to pick up the child every other weekend. of course we are “ordered” by the court so we respect the weekend visitation and do not withold the child from them.

now tell me, are our ex’s “ordered” to see the child every other weekend? can anything happen to them if they do not take their every other weekend visitation? i know that if we as the custodail parents do not allow them to take the child for their weekend, then we are held “in contempt” - can we file that they are in “contempt” as well when they do not get their child every other weekend as stated in the visitation court order?

thanks for clarifying this!

No, unfortunately the non custodial parent cannot be forced to use their time with the children.
