My close friend is pursing custody pro se. Is it possible for me to assist her in this and sit with her during the case before the judge to help with note taking and questions ? Would I be permitted to ask questions for her ?

You make take notes from the gallery area and may talk with your friend on breaks to discuss what you have observed, but you may not ask questions in open court, or otherwise attempt to advise your friend as this would be considered practicing law without a license.
