Psychological testing for custody

How do you go about requesting this for my husband? He is showing some questionable behavior and is a sex addict. Is there a doctor that the courts recommend that is able to see through any and all manipulators? This man is very good a deceiving. What is the best course of action?

A judge can order that a party submit to a mental examination. First, you must file a court action (for example, a child custody action) against your husband and a motion accompanying the court action asking for a mental health examination for your husband. The judge will order such an examination to be done if you are able to show good cause for requesting it. The specific doctor or mental health professional can be agreed on by the parties or the courts may have a referral.
