Question regarding Alimony

Does one get barred from alimony because the divorce is their decision? Being a stay-at-home parent, I am entirely dependent on my spouse’s income and just need to know what I am entitled too. I have heard that because there was no adultry and the divorce is something that I want, I am not entitled alimony at all.

No. The fact that you are the one pursuing the divorce does not in itself stop you from potentially receiving alimony. As a SAHM, it should be easy to show that you are a dependent spouse, so you have a possible claim for alimony.
