Record Separation Agreement

I’m not sure what you mean by record it…? I believe that in order for it to be legal and binding it must be signed in the presence of a notary and the notary seal must be on it…

No need to file or record it anywhere. You should have a copy and your spouse should have a copy. As stepmother says must be signed by both parties and notarized. A divorce decree is recorded with the county I think.

If the agreement requires or permits that it be recorded it would be done at the register of deeds in the county in which you live.

We signed separation agreement last week and I need to record it. Where to start. And what happen if it’s not recorded.
