I’m requesting clarification of residency requirements for filing an absolute divorce complaint in NC. I’ve read that the requirement is 6 months minimum in the State of NC, but the complaint form for Wake County requires verification of 6 months residency in Wake County. If I have lived in North Carolina continuously for for than six months, but in two different counties, does that meet the requirement, or must I wait until I have lived in Wake County for six months or more? I’m a little confused here, please help me understand this. Thank You.
