Wife and I separated in July of last year. She wanted to remain in the home. She is/was unemployed. Due to that fact, I agreed to pay all living expenses for her, including the mortgage. Due to finances I had to move back for one week in November and then moved out a week later. Did the separation clock start over? There was never any intention of reconciliation on either part.

She refuses to sign a Separation Agreement. I can no longer continue to pay the full boat for her, but am willing to pay half the mortgage. She says her attorney advises her that if I don’t pay they will sue me for abandonment and spousal support. I have been paying the total for 7 months now. Can they push the abandonment issue in court? How long and how much should I continue to pay? I’d rather just sell the house.
