Seperate Residence

I think our child custody will be 50/50% (every other week), but we are concerned about keeping our children in a common and stable environment as we split time with them.

Can we have our current home where the kids would stay and a second residence (say an apartment), but for the week that each parent has the children, they would stay in the house. Trying not to complicate the question.

Net, each parent would stay in the hourse one week while the other stayed in the apartment and rotate this for a year. We can’t duplicate the children’s environment in two residences, too expensive.

Yes, this type of arrangement is called a “nesting schedule” in which the children are kept in the home, and the parents rotate their places of residence.
