As long as you have an address for her so that she can be served with the divorce complaint and then the final divorce decree you should be fine. On the house, as long as her name is off the deed and you buy her out I think you are good to go…
I’m glad that your separation and divorce seem to be amicable and easy.
You should make sure the paperwork regarding the transfer of the house is adequate and that you have no other joint assets or liabilities before the divorce is finalized.

Uncontested divorce is my case. My soon to be ex wife and i will not be getting seperation papers made up for us. She’s taking what she wants and I’m keeping the rest, the only thing we have left together now is our house. I’m keeping that and she’s moving out of the state. So my questions are these with her moving will it cause anything to be delayed when I go to file for divorce when our year has passed? As far as the house goes, I’m buying her part of the equity so to speak so then she will sign over her rights to me seeing as how NC is a 50/50 state. So with that would anything come back and haunt me in the future?
Thanks
