Settlement signed in distress

I signed a divorce settlement but I don’t remember some of its content or agreeing to it. My therapist said I was going through trauma dissociation. Is there a way to get a new lawyer in the future to overturn or modify the agreement?

You may be able to rescind a separation agreement but only if certain grounds apply, for example, you were forced to sign, you were under duress, etc. If you had a lawyer representing you for that agreement, it may be very difficult to prove it should be rescinded.

Alimony terms in a separation agreement can be amended upon the agreement of both parties.
