Signed Parenting Agreement and Relocation

My son’s father signed a parenting agreement allowing me to relocate from North Carolina to Missouri. Now that I am about to move he is acting as if he might try to keep my son in North Carolina. Should I allow him to have him for the weekend and if so he doesn’t return him will our parenting agreement make a difference? Also if we do get to Missouri without problems, I am to fly our son back to NC every other month for the next year for a weekend visit with his father. If on any of these weekend visits, he doesn’t return our son to me what steps will I have to take?

Thank you!

You should comply with the terms of the parenting agreement. If either of you fail to comply with the terms of the agreement then the recourse is to file in court.
